Eligibility

QUALIFICATION ONLY — there is no open registration. Teams reach this round by winning their country's national round. From India that is the Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition, run by the ICRC with the Indian Society of International Law, whose 25th edition is on 20-22 November 2026. Some countries send more than one team: Korea, for instance, sends the two finalists and the third-place winner. Exact March 2027 dates had not been published when this was recorded.

About this competition

The regional championship in international humanitarian law for the Asia-Pacific, run by the ICRC with the Hong Kong Red Cross and argued before practitioners and ICRC legal advisers. Recent champions give a sense of the field: Handong International Law School (2026), Singapore Management University (2025) and the University of Adelaide (2023). For an Indian team the route runs through the Henry Dunant national rounds in November — win those and you are in the room in Hong Kong.
